Aim of the workshop
The workshop aims to provide training and resources for intermediate-level analysts or other professionals in a seed testing laboratory further to develop skills and understanding in purity analysis and other seed determination.
Workshop content

How to build seed identification resources and references

Seed morphology and identification of Brassicaceae species and Fabaceae emphasizing on Trifolium spp. and Lotus spp.

Steps on the identification of unknown seeds

ISTA PSD definition and exercise, emphasizing on Poaceae and Asteracea

Purity analysis on encrusted seed testing
The language will be English; if required, with Spanish support for comprehension

ISTA Members: 600 USD |
The participation fee includes all literature and supporting material for the workshop, lunches, coffee breaks and workshop official dinner. It does not include accommodation or meals other than those specified.
The number of participants is a minimum of 25 and restricted to a maximum of 30 participants.
Registration and payment deadline is 6 June 2025
Please note:
For cancellations made before 6 June 2025 registration fees are refundable minus a 50 USD administration fee.
For cancellations made after 6 June 2025 registration fees are non-refundable.

A range of accommodations is available. Please contact the local organiser for accommodation options and how to book.
Note: Guests may book directly with the hotel and will be responsible for payment of their own room, taxes and incidentals.

You may need a VISA and a Letter of Invitation for entry into Uruguay. For more information, please consult the Embassy of Uruguay in your country.
